Jessica is an exceptional dance teacher and mentor whose dedication goes beyond the studio. She not only inspires her students with her talent and expertise but also fosters a supportive environment where every dancer feels seen, valued, and encouraged. “Storytelling and choreography are always challenging… warm-ups and class combinations prepared me”

Jessica was my first musical theater teacher. Her storytelling and choreography are always challenging, but her warm-ups and class combinations prepared me. She took the time to push me to expand and grow, helped me when I needed and made learning fun. Her Saturday classes sparked my love of musical theater.”

“Cared for and supported me like I was her own… pushed me to become a better dancer and person”

Working with Ms. Jessica has been a rewarding experience, and having her as a mentor during my senior year truly made the season unforgettable. She has cared for and supported me like I was her own, continuing to do so even after I graduated. Her guidance, vision, and work ethic have pushed me to become a better dancer and person, and her deep love for dance shines through in everything she does. Ms. Jessica is one of the most supportive mentors I’ve ever had, and I have so much to thank her for; she is the absolute best.

“Group setting and one-on-one training… able to gain more confidence”

My daughter has had the pleasure of working with Jessica for the past three years, both in a large group setting and one-on-one training.

While training with her she has been able to gain more confidence in her dancing while continuing to perfect her technique and stage presence.

Jessica’s dedication to her students' success is apparent. She pushes her students to be the best they can be. She is encouraging, inspiring, and professional.

“An investment in Jessica and her team is one that will pay off for years to come!”

Chapter 11, “Cultivate a Mentor,” in The Professional Actor’s Handbook: From Casting Call to Curtain Call (2nd edition) highlights the importance for aspiring artists to seek out the guidance of a trusted industry mentor. A mentor is someone who knows how to ask the right questions to get the artists from point A to point Z, and then provides them with step-by-step guidance to arrive! That’s the kind of mentorship that I have watched Jessica Seavor provide to countless successful working dancers!

Jessica has worked as a stage and commercial dancer, a dance captain, a choreographer, a local studio teacher, and an instructor at one of the most prestigious dance studios in New York City, Broadway Dance Center. She is also a working choreographer and my associate on all professional dance projects. This I know: An investment in Jessica and her team is one that will pay off for years to come!

“Highly accessible and consistently available… a resource and ally in this artistic journey”

Jessica has worked with my daughter for several years as her dance instructor, and, most recently, as her coach for her college auditions. Jessica most recently choreographed, taught, and helped record my daughter’s dance auditions for several college musical theater programs throughout the United States.

Working with Jessica has always been a pleasure. She is highly accessible and consistently available to provide answers or offer alternative perspectives. My daughter has incredible respect for her and enjoys every moment in the studio with her – even the challenging ones. We are grateful to have her as a resource in this artistic journey. I recommend Jessica to anyone looking to elevate their practice and who wants a strong ally in their corner for success.
